Laminated products are a proven technology where graded pieces of timber, either finger jointed or solid, are bonded together with structural glue whilst being held under pressure until cured.

Kanuka laminated posts are constructed from H5 CCA Service Class 3 timber treated, prior to laminating. This technique ensures 100% penetration of the wood preservative. These posts are manufactured to the nationally recognised GL8 standard.

Designed for Ground Contact

Being H5 CCA Service Class 3 treated, the posts are certified for direct ground contact when connected to a dwelling, as per Building Code requirements.

Flexible Construction Options

Because of the 100% penetration of the H5 wood preservative, there is no limitation on cutting or slotting of the post to complete construction. In addition, there is no requirement to use time consuming and expensive stirrups or other isolating devices.

Uses

• Kanuka laminated posts are often used for the construction of verandah posts and pergolas.
• Increasingly they are selected wherever a substantial “look” is required, in the internal and/or external character of a home or building.
• Kanuka H5 Laminated Posts are ideal where superior construction properties are required combined with “Peace Of Mind” durability and stability.
